This event has been postponed to Wed 23 March at 6:30pm
This book, Beyond Money: A Postcapitalist Strategy — on achieving just and ecologically sustainable futures — offers a lively thought experiment of a world without money. Anitra shows how money drives political power, environmental destruction, and social inequality to argue for abolishing, rather than repurposing, it for a postcapitalist future.
Jeffrey Sparrow will launch the new book with the author Anitra Nelson.
The event is to highlight a book that offers a radical intervention in sustainability debates and strategies by focusing on the significance of money as a barrier and the potential of nonmonetary economies and polities.
