The Bendigo Community Farmer’s Market is a chance to catch up with friends, buy gorgeous produce and wine and connect with the wonderful people who produce your food. The market was founded in 2010 and is the first VFMA accredited market in regional Victoria. We provide Bendigo with fresh, regional and seasonal produce while giving back to the community. VFMA accredited means that as a shopper, you can have confidence that the person you are transacting with is the person who grew or made the produce. As a regional farmers market, we are required to have a minimum of 75% accredited stallholders. We generally operate well over that benchmark.
Our market is proud to have some of our region’s best seasonal produce represented with us. Shopping at the farmers market means you get high quality, freshly harvested produce, in season, in a traditional, market square atmosphere. It also means that you are directly supporting the farmers of the Bendigo region, and thus contributing to the local community.
You can find ample free parking close by the market on Saturdays: in Hargreaves Street multi-storey carpark (next to the Reject Shop); above Rosalind Park (access via Gaol Road, behind the Art Gallery); along Pall Mall, along Park Road and in the Park Road car park.
