Whether looking to get started or take their efforts to a whole next level, this workshop is designed to move participants into action right away.

In this 90-minute session, John breaks down the ‘zero waste journey’ into 4 simple steps. Together he will help participants develop their own zero-waste plan and get answers to all those questions related to zero waste living.

This event aims to encourage as many people as possible to get confidently started on their zero waste journey.


John Rbeiz is an engineer and an entrepreneur. He is very passionate about all things people, planet, and business-related. In 2014, John moved from Lebanon to Australia to pursue a master’s degree in Engineering and Business. In 2017 John cofounded a Melbourne-based social enterprise (Humankind Enterprises), in 2020 John attempted to launch Boom Containers, winner of the people’s choice award at the City of Melbourne’s Open Innovation Competition.

John has been living low waste since 2018, fitting almost 3 years of his waste in a jar. Today John helps both at a business and community level and builds capacity within society and organisations to reduce waste.
