Animals & Society (Australia) Study Group

The Animals and Society (Australia) Study Group brings together Australian-based scholars working in a variety of disciplines to better understand the roles and meanings attributed to non-human animals in human societies. This website is a meeting point providing information about existing scholarship and networks, and a forum for identifying future themes of discussion, coursework and research. This group is part of ongoing initiatives to develop national, cross-disciplinary research programs on Environment and Society based at the University of Western Australia.
