Fair Trade is not only about coffee, chocolate and tea! You can find out how to be a Fair Fashionista at "Fashion Fights Fair", a parade and night market showcasing Fair Trade, sustainable, and ethical fashion, from 8pm on Friday, May 9 at BMW Edge in Federation Square, Melbourne. Musician Clare Bowditch will host an evening of fashion from designers addressing social, environmental, and ethical issues, which means that in addition to Fair Trade and No SweatShop accredited garments, you will be treated to a stylish mix of highly desirable organic wear, recycled garments and carbon-neutral labels, topped off with fabulous op-shop finds. Watch out for styling tips that will save you money at the same time as supporting Fair Trade and the environment! You can satisfy your consumer cravings after the show with a little retail therapy at participating designers' stalls at the night market, located around the balcony and foyer of the BMW Edge. There are heaps of great prizes to be won on the night too, with haircare packs from Mastey, a makeup lesson with cruelty-free makeup artist Nicole Groch, and vouchers and products from many of the great labels participating in the show - and don't forget, goodie bags for everyone!
