The FIRST EVER Fairtrade Latte Art Challenge to be held for the first time ANYWHERE in the world…. The challenge will grace lucky commuters in Melbourne during this year's Fair Trade Fortnight! Set up in Melbourne Central Station, elite barista's will compete using Fairtrade Certified coffee to be crowned the first Fairtrade Champion. Passers-by will get the chance (if they are lucky) to try the coffee and taste the great taste Fairtrade coffee can produce. Each Barista will have no more than five (5) minutes to create • 1 Cappuccino • 1 Caffe Latte • 1 Caffe Macchiato • 1 Freestyle/Designer beverage chosen by the barista. There are two major criteria on which the Baristas will be judged; 1. Taste 2. Presentation. Our major sponsor for the event is Ecotainer, a bio-degradable and fully recyclable takeaway cup.
