Sustainability Street North Melbourne: Ethical Consuming

This workshop is an introduction to sustainable and ethical purchasing practices for the everyday consumer. The goal of this workshop is to facilitate change in people’s purchasing habits by providing information on products, companies, issues and alternatives to assist in making better choices. This will include:

 

·       encouraging shoppers to evaluate their purchases with sustainable considerations in mind;

·       introducing systematic approach to purchasing; and

·       exploring practical ways to help in lightening impact.

 

The workshop will be run in three parts, each lasting approximately 45 minutes:

 

1.      Presentation of issues and principles.

2.      Supermarket shop – trip to local store to put theories into action.

3.      Return to venue for light meal from purchases, sharing, feedback.
