Join Stephen Onians, to discuss growing food in the local environment.
With enough time, energy and resources, you can grow almost anything. However, the rewards may often be less than the inputs. In this conversation, we will look at a range of edible fruits and vegetables, which have the potential to be highly productive with the minimum of inputs. Also, some growing methods that work!
Stephen has a degree in Plant Ecology and postgraduate qualifications in education and aquaculture. He has been involved in Permaculture for 15 years. Stephen lives with his wife and two children on an 8 Hectare property in Yarrambat. Over two hundred types of fruit trees/ shrubs are grown on the property. A large aquaponics system is a feature of the property, as well as a food forest, aquaculture facilities and a small sub-tropical fruits nursery.
