Rick’s talk will focus on aspects of sustainable food in an overseas context, based on his extensive experience working in the two thirds world. On Tuesday 11 May 6pm – 8pm
Rick Coleman of Southern Cross Permaculture Institute, is an Australian permaculture teacher, designer and consultant. Rick has taught permaculture on every continent and consults with aid agencies on sustainable development projects, including work in Mexico, Nepal, Ethiopia, Kenya and Peru. Rick and his wife Naomi have developed their 10 acre property in South Gippsland in Victoria as a permaculture demonstration site. Rick and Naomi and their four children regularly conduct Permaculture Design Certificate courses on site as well as hosting wwoofers (willing workers on organic farms). Rick also consults for clients developing or looking to purchase properties.
Rick is an extremely popular and engaging speaker. His past talks have attracted hundreds of people, many of whom come to visit our property afterwards. Rick has many practical strategies and springboards for people to start making more sustainable choices in their lives.
