OtherWISE is a capacity-building program that educates and inspires young people about sustainable consumption and encourages leadership within a mentoring program. OtherWISE is an ARC funded project run by IYPF and RMIT University that has spanned 3 years.
This workshop will establish the next pathway forward and it would be great to hear you ideas and input and gauge future involvement. This project has been most prominent in the ACT where young people have been supported through projects such as clothes swaps, rock concerns and documentary making - all in the name of sustainability. This project is the Australian equivalent of the Global UNEP Youth Exchange project.
The 17th Feburary will include an overview of OtherWISE action so far, a PhD presentation of research into how young people are living sustainable lifestyles and a presentation of a UNEP study of the same nature. So if your work concerns young people and/or sustainability, this workshop may be just for you! This is new research with an exciting story to tell.
A full agenda will be provided shortly.
The workshop includes lunch and afternoon tea by Original Foods (a very sustainable choice!)
Please RSVP by Friday 12th February at the latest.
