Transition Town (TT) St Kilda and neighbouring Transition Town Elwood met fortnightly at Port Phillip EcoCentre during November and December 2009. The Transition Town network aims to encourage local communities to identify and implement practical actions for sustainable living. Sharing knowledge, skills, and resources reduces costs on individuals and the environment. The groups trust that change can be achieved by organizing activities and projects that the whole community can participate in and enjoy, also to encourage people to contribute ideas and projects that complement the aims of the movement.
