Lakeside Drive Community Garden in Alawa, Darwin is in the very early stages of development. The garden is being designed with permaculture principles and has a focus on public education. Although the garden itself is yet to be physically established it has already run a workshop series in the community, teaching people about growing food in the tropics. This tree planting will revegetate the neighbouring natural creek and will be the first turning of the sod on the new garden.
