Feature film: Homegrown follows the Dervaes family who run a small organic farm in the heart of urban Pasadena, California. While "living off the grid", they harvest over 2,700 kilograms of produce on less than a quarter of an acre, make their own bio diesel and power their computers with the help of solar panels.
Supporting films: Community Egg Co-op - Mouth Revolution (annimation comodey) - Community Supported Agriculture - Gardening For The End of the Oil Age
It's time to reconnect with our food and the planet over some hot soup and some wonderful new films on food issues. Discuss the latest updates on new and old food campaigns, plus you'll be given the opportunity to take some action of your own through letter writing, petitions, postcards and maybe a visit to the supermarket or a bit of local digging!
Entry by donation. Fresh organic hot veggie soup, bread & popcorn by donation.
Seating is limited, please RSVP
