Guest speaker: Dr. Muriel Watt

Dr Muriel Watt is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Photovoltaic Engineering and the Centre for Energy & Environmental Markets at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

She is also the Chair of the Australian PV Association.

She has been a keen advocate for the solar and photovoltaic (PV) industry for many decades and is author of numerous reports and research papers, as well as advising the government on these issues.

Muriel's work focuses on implementation strategies for renewable energy technologies, including consumer requirements, government policy, research, industry development, support programs and regulatory frameworks.

The presentation will include details on the Australian PV market and why we lag so far behind countries such as Germany and Japan in PV installed capacity.
