Bird Observation and Conservation Australia is teaming up with Trust for Nature to host a brolga field day at 'Mooramong' in south-west Victoria on March 1.
The day will include presentations on the life history of the brolga, the latest research into brolga conservation, and discuss the possible reformation of the ‘Friends of the Brolga’ group to advocate for the conservation of brolgas in south-west Victoria.
After lunch, participants will be invited to examine brolga nesting sites and habitat on the property. Participants are asked to bring their own picnic lunch and chairs. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided and proceedings will commence at 10am.
Getting to Mooramong: From Skipton, travel west along the Glenelg Hwy for approximately 4km. Turn right onto Mooramong Rd and travel north for approximately 4.5km until you reach the homestead.
RSVP: For those wishing to attend, please RSVP to Jenny Lau at BOCA head office: phone 03 9877 5342 or email conservationprojects@birdobservers.org.au.
