Within the Brigalow Belt Bioregions, semi-evergreen vine thickets (SEVT) have been fragmented, reduced in area and degraded through land clearing and agricultural/grazing practices. Pindari Nature Refuge has a significant stand of SEVT which is under threat from Lantana and Rubber Vine. It is also situated at the head waters of 12 mile creek, which runs into the Great Barrier Reef. CVA, in partnership with the owners of Pindari Nature Refuge, aim to cut back the area of weeds to allow natural regeneration of this vulnerable ecological community and improve water quality in the 12 mile creek system.
