Through Youth LEAD, young people:
• Clarify what is important to them
• Find inspiration and focus to make informed life choices
• Develop confidence to live from their own values and integrity
• Reflect on and re-energise the difference they already make in their lives
• Develop and strengthen skills to understand, analyse, vision and plan
• Be leaders of positive change
• Understand local and global environmental challenges
• Learn to live sustainably and reduce ecological footprint (average 29%)
• Harness their passion, creativity and intelligence to build a better world
• Join a supportive inspiring community of young people, both in Melbourne and Nationally
• Become themselves
The Youth LEAD program begins with a 3-day residential workshop, then provides:
• Follow-up meetings and regular communication for ongoing mentoring and support;
• Participation in the national Youth LEAD network and e-list;
• Opportunities to train as youth to youth mentors and Youth LEAD facilitators;
• Opportunities to volunteer in OzGREEN programs within Australia and Internationally.
Youth LEAD costs $250 down to $50 depending on affordability and includes all accommodation, meals and workshop materials.
OzGREEN (Global Rivers Environmental Education Network Australia Inc) is an independent, not for profit organisation that was established in 1992. OzGREEN facilitates life changing learning and leadership programs for sustainability, enabling people to harness their inner wisdom, creativity and intelligence to build pathways to an ecologically sustainable future. OzGREEN runs a range of programs, working nationally in Australia and internationally in India, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Pakistan.
