Were the three little pigs right? Come to the Riddells Creek Primary School Sustainable Living and Alternative Housing Expo to find out! Visit strawbale, rammed earth, cedar, mudbrick and even polystyrene houses. Come on a House Tour of nine local homes built from a variety of eco friendly products. Talk to the owners and find out about their experiences, the products and methods they used and what it is like to live in these house once they become homes. Tickets, details and maps for the house tour are available at the school $15 per person. Set your own pace and visit the homes that you wish to see. All homes are open from 10.00 to 4.30, with a midday lunch break that enables you to catch the speakers back at school. Visit our free Expo for a wealth of information about Sustainable and Healthy Living products, practices and services. Key note speakers Bernard Desormeaux from 1.00 on "Toxic load and ventilation in our homes", and Peter Hansford on "Community response to climate change." Lunch available. We believe we are putting into practise the philosophy that we wish to engender in our students of taking responsibility for our global environment.
