Come join us for a day-long experiential workshop where we will explore together the Work That Reconnects, through Despair and Empowerment processes designed by eco-philosopher, Joanna Macy (Read more about Joanna Macy http://www.joannamacy.net) Joanna Macy writes: “The Work That Reconnects demonstrates our interconnectedness in the web of life and our authority to take action on its behalf. It has helped many thousands around the globe find insight, solidarity, and courage to act, despite rapidly worsening conditionsâ€. “The central purpose of the Work that Reconnects is to help people uncover and experience their innate connections with each other and with the systemic, self-healing powers in the web of life, so that they may be enlivened and motivated to play their part in creating a sustainable civilizationâ€. “A revolution is underway because people are realizing that our needs can be met without destroying our world. We have the technical knowledge, the communication tools, and material resources to grow enough food, ensure clean air and water, and meet rational energy needs. Some call this the time of the Great Turning. It is happening now. Workshop facilitators: Ruth Yeatman and Mary Stringer have trained with Joanna Macy. They are delighted that Meredith Elton, Roslyn Semler, Julie Douglas, Kiri Bear and Tunya Struzina, can join them in facilitating this workshop.
