Over this weekend you will learn how to apply sustainable design techniques to your immediate environment, whether you be in an inner city apartment, a quarter-acre block, or a thousand acre farm. Covering organic food production, system design (and re-design) for comfort and lower energy consumption, and how to approach a sustainable existence within your neighbourhood, wherever you may be.
"The ecologically-destructive path we are on is as if all of humanity is in a giant car heading towards a brick wall at 100 miles per hour. Everyone in it is arguing about where to sit. Permaculturalists are some of the only ones who know how to put on the brakes and turn the wheel" - Dr David Suzuki, award-winning scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster.
Come and learn the basics of how to better care and provide for yourself, your family and the planet. A jam-packed weekend of information, techniques, practical demonstration, a site visit and great piles of middle-eastern food, all within a comfortable walk for Sydney Central station.
This course will be taught by Nick Ritar, an award-winning educator of community technologies and strategies for communication, and co-founder of Milkwood Permaculture, providing practical, ecological, do-able solutions for sustainable living and development.
Course fee includes all educational materials, two generous lunches, and all the tea, coffee and snacks you will need while thinking, learning and absorbing this great two day course.
