Overview:
A sustainable festival. Peats Ridge Festival is aiming to
become fully sustainable and eventually fund a grants program towards sustainable food production. In terms of the environment, the festival includes compost toilets, ecoliving workshops, ecoliving stalls, car-share, rebicycle, biodegradable packaging, organic foods, composting, recycling, container deposits and more. In addition there
are 14 stages/performance areas, 350 bands and performers, arts, crafts, an entire kids program, plus soooooo much more (see website address).
Eco Stalls:
Expressions of interest are currently being sought from people, companies, community groups and organisations that wish to participate in this fantastic event. There is quite a bit of organising to be done, so planning ahead for this one will make the process easy, smooth and successful.
Market:
Up to 15,000 people in 2007
Demographic:
A very family-friendly event, the market for this event is
mainly families and those in the 20-45 age bracket. With
ever-increasing numbers comes a more diverse demographic. The market tends to be a very cohesive and friendly bunch of people that are very receptive to the eco-issues we face and many chose to come due to the
environmental consciousness of this event.
