The Hindmarsh Landcare Network and Greening Australia invite you to celebrate the 10th Annual Hindmarsh Ace Radio Landcare Weekend based at the famous Little Desert Nature Lodge, just south of Nhill.
Having successfully connected the Big Desert National Park with the Little Desert National Park; planting 100km of trees to create 2000km of links within the first 4 years of the Landcare Weekends, Project Hindmarsh now focuses on private property; assisting farmers protect, enhance and restore native vegetation. The weekend’s activities will continue to benefit us all, increasing biodiversity on a regional scale whilst helping landholders farm for the future.
This year’s weekend will focus on two planting sites, private property adjoining the Lake Hindmarsh Reserve north of Jeparit on Saturday and back to planting a roadside at Tarranginnie on the Sunday. There will be a variety of tour options available for the Saturday for those keen to see sites previously planted.
We hope you can join us again, for the tenth, fifth or for the first time! Our community welcomes the opportunity to share with you what they have done to conserve our environment and your work won’t go unrewarded!
