The conference, Peak Oil, Petrol Prices and Climate Change: Preparing Victoria for the Future, will provide participants with an overview of peak oil and its potential social and economic impacts. It will also explore key strategies for maintaining a robust economy and strong and equitable community in the face of these challenges.Â
Speakers will include Professor Peter Newman, Dr Richard Denniss, and Dr Jago Dodson. Four sector workshops will also be run in the following areas of interest:

·       Health, education and community services
·       Transport and land-use planning
·       Business and employment
