The Transitions Film Festival is a visionary program showcasing ground-breaking features, shorts and documentaries about the transition to a better world. The program emphasizes positive, inspiring and solutions-focused films that highlight the social and technological innovations, cultural influencers and trailblazing changemakers that are tackling society’s greatest challenges and creating a brighter future.
Covering topics such as social and technological innovation, renewable energy, community empowerment, eco-architecture, collaborative consumption, global movements, ecological economics and consciousness, the Festival aims to inspire audiences with stories of hope, resilience and action. Screenings feature special guest introductions, live artistic performances and post-film discussions with local and international thought leaders. Now in its ninth year, the Transitions Film Festival is Australia’s largest sustainability film festival which explicitly explores the four pillars of sustainability (social, economic, environmental and cultural).
