MPavilion is Australia’s leading architectural commission, and design event conceived and created by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation. Every year one new temporary pavilion is designed by a leading international architect and erected in Melbourne’s historic Queen Victoria Gardens. This year, instead of building a new pavilion, MPavilion 2020 will engage its original six MPavilions and prioritise an expanded program supporting local designers and artists. Melburnians will enjoy free events across the city, from the inner city MPavilion Docklands location to the Melbourne Zoo and Monash University campus in Clayton.

In a timely example of ‘adaptive re-use’—the process of reusing an existing building for a purpose other than that for which it was designed—MPavilion is using the Parkade car park as a new home for its unique, multi-faceted program of public events and community experiences.
